SWAMP FACTS:

Swamps are in a constant state of transition between land and water.
All the coal we've ever used originated from swamps millions of years ago.

Crude iron as first obtained from a smelting furnace, in the form of oblong blocks.

The product of smelting iron ore (also ilmenite) with a high-carbon fuel and reductant such as coke, usually with limestone as a flux.
