HOW TO APPLY

In order to sign up for an audition, you must first start an application through Rowan’s portal.

Here are the steps and information you will need (we know it's a lot, but it'll all be worthwhile!):

1. 1. Go to: https://apply-global.rowan.edu/apply/
   2. Follow the link to create an account, or skip to the next step if you already have one.
      1. To create an account, you will be asked to enter your email address, First Name, Last Name, and Birthdate.
      2. A temporary PIN will be sent to your email. Retrieve the PIN and Re-Enter your Birthdate to login.
      3. Create a Password.
   3. Log In to your account.
   4. Scroll down and click “Start New Application” at the bottom of this page.
      1. Choose Graduate Application from the drop down menu.
      2. Click “Create Application”
      3. Click “Open Application.”
      4. From now on, you will find a link to your open application at the bottom of this same page if you need to come back to it.
   5. Review the Instructions. 
   6. Fill out your Personal Background Information.
      1. This includes Name, Addresses, Email, Telephone Numbers, Biographical Information, and Citizenship Information.
   7. Select your Program of Study.
      1. Choose “M.F.A. in Devised Performance” from the drop down menu, under the College of Performing Arts.
      2. Choose Campus: “Camden.”
   8. Fill out your Academic History.
      1. Click “Add Institution” to list any colleges, universities, or higher education institutions at which you have officially enrolled. 
         1. For each institution you will be asked about its name, location, the dates you attended, your level of study and degree, and date of graduation.
   9. Fill out your Additional Information.
      1. This includes Residency Status, Military Status, and Employment Information.
   10. Sign your Application by typing your full legal name in the space provided. 
   11. Review and Submit your Application.
   12. Once you’ve completed the first phase of the application, you will be taken to a Status Page. Here you will find an Application Checklist.
       1. Application Fee
       2. Artistic Portfolio/Work Statement
       3. Department Essay (see below for details)
       4. Headshot
       5. MFA Audition Complete
       6. Professional Resume
       7. Schedule MFA Audition
       8. Transcript(s)
   13. You will be able to schedule an audition immediately after completing the first application phase. You do not need to pay your application fee or submit additional materials before signing up for an audition. 
   14. To Schedule an Audition, click the link “Schedule MFA Audition” in the Application Checklist. 
       1. Select In-Person or Virtual Audition. Click the link for your desired time and date. Confirm your audition intention by checking the box, and click Submit. 
   15. For more information on the Department Essay (aka Personal Artistic Statement) and Artistic Portfolio/Work Sample Materials, scroll and read the descriptions. 
   16. To upload your required materials, scroll to “Upload Materials.” There you will select the type of material you are uploading from the drop down menu - Artistic Portfolio/WorkSample, Department Essay (aka Personal Artistic Statement), Headshot, or Professional Resume. Click Choose File and select the corresponding file from your computer. Click Upload.

• To submit your transcripts:

1. 1. Rowan University accepts electronic transcripts through Parchment and National Student Clearinghouse. 
   2. Electronic transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing university to [email protected]. Transcripts emailed to the address above directly from an applicant will not be considered official.
   3. If paper copies are the only option, send those records to: Rowan University Office of Graduate Admissions Enterprise Center 225 Rowan Blvd, Glassboro, NJ 08028-2265.
2. To pay your application fee, scroll down to the section that says “Payment Due: 65.00 USD.” Click the link “Submit Payment for 65.00 USD.” Click Submit Payment and enter your Payment Information.
